The Intersection of Environmental Justice and Eco-Activism

Environmental justice is the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people in the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies. It focuses on addressing the disproportionate burden of environmental harms on low-income communities and communities of color.

Eco-activism is the act of promoting and advocating for environmental protection and sustainability through various means such as protests, campaigns, and education. Environmental justice and eco-activism intersect in their shared goal of creating a sustainable and just future for all. Considering both environmental justice and eco-activism is important because it recognizes that environmental issues are not just about protecting nature but also about creating a more equitable society.
